Hi, I’m Liz and I’m very honored to be helping out the CIL by serving on the Board! As a long time wheelchair user I’m passionate about supporting all of our rights and the practice and vision of disability justice. A little more about myself: My career is divided between open source software engineering and disability advocacy; for many years, I’ve worked on the Firefox web browser for Mozilla, and am currently at Borealis Philanthropy as program manager for the Disability x Tech funding initiative. I founded, and currently lead, a local nonprofit, Grassroots Open Assistive Tech.
I also have strong connections with local hacker and maker spaces, such as Noisebridge and Double Union. I’m also a zine maker, literary translator, and poet. I’m always happy to meet new people and have a chat! Here’s my websites: https://bookmaniac.org, and https://openassistivetech.org
