I went to a protest outside Laguna Honda Hospital in San Francisco that ADAPT organized.  It was my first time at a disability rights rally. I grew up with disabilities and had been active with other grassroots movements, but this was the first time I had attended a rally filled with disabled people focusing on disability rights.  In 2007, I started working at The Center for Independent Living.
