As a first-generation immigrant navigating the American public education system, I learned the intricate pathways towards higher education and the barriers that come along the way for intersecting identities. Through this experience, I developed a deep interest and passion for disability activism, social justice, and educational accessibility through a career in education, advocacy, research, and community involvement.

I’ve called the bay area home since my move from Punjab as a child and left for Southern California to complete a B.A. in Psychology from UC Riverside and an M.Ed from University of Southern California, where I focused on understanding diverse neurodivergent experiences in the higher education system and the lack of holistic support for disabled South Asian students.

I’m happy to be back home and look forward to merging my experience in education and passion for accessibility with CIL!
