I have an educational background in human/computer interaction and assistive technology. I have held jobs in special education and disability advocacy for a number of years. I have worked with people between 3 years old and over 100 years old with a variety of disabilities and learned so much from each experience.

How/Why did you get involved with the Independent Living Movement?

My dad has been involved with social work since I was a kid and I was always in awe of the work that he would do, as it always served people outside of himself. I have a background working in special education and wanted to move to a different job area that still serves this community.
